New PS3 firmware coming soon

Users complaining that firmware 3.10 for the PlayStation 3 did no good to their device can have hope: Sony will soon release version 3.15, that will supposedly fix a multitude of features and provide a tool for data transfer between two PS3 devices as well as the possibility to play PSP mini games on the big brother

Regarding the complaints, most users criticized a faulty syncing between Bluetooth-enabled devices and the PlayStation 3, including headsets, keyboards, and even Sony's own Dualshock 3 PS3 controllers. According to the company the new firmware will resolve these issues.

A new feature announced will be the enabling of PSP minis to be played on the PlayStation 3 - as far as these have been bought through the PlayStation Network. Just go into your download list on the PS3 and re-download the titles for free.

Another new feature is 'PS3 Data Transfer', a tool allowing you to sync your data with another PlayStation 3 via Ethernet. Sony: "This feature enables you to easily transfer all of your saved data from one PS3 to another. So if you decide to get a new PS3 you can make sure you don't loose any of your existing content. Content such as games, game save data, and videos downloaded from PlayStation Network can be transferred to the new PS3 system and deleted from the current PS3. Other content, including personal media files (photos, music, videos), can be copied onto the new PS3 and remain on the current PS3 system."
